Ugh, bleh, wow. What happened? February went by in what seems like a blur. I know it’s a short month, but that seemed … particularly quick.
It’s March already. You know what that means. It’s time for the March update.
All right, before we get talking about what’s on deck this month, let’s talk about last month!
February might have been short, but it was busy too. Submerged was published on January 30, which meant February was full of (fun!) activities related to the book. The biggest one was the book launch on February 10. I did a live video for the first time in a while! And had a great chat.
I also gave away plenty of books during a free promotion for Valentine’s Day. There’s a couple of sneak peek chapters up on the site now too (including the Valentine’s Day short).
The other big thing going on during February? The Olympics! It seemed like everyone was glued to their screens watching Adam Rippon, Gus Kenworthy, and so many other record-breaking and history-making athletes from all over the world.
Personally? I was busy. February is always a busy month work-wise (sometimes the busiest of the year). I’m working on many new projects for my business, and many personal projects as well. I shipped my boyfriend south for a while, so I’ve been able to go at things full tilt too.
Perhaps the biggest news? I finished off the first draft of A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale.
March technically began yesterday, so there’s already some stuff happening! The first big thing was our first newsletter went out. Have you subscribed yet? No? Do so here. Subscribers got access to a few fun things, including a first look at A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale.
I’m also updating my March reading list. I’m on track with my GoodReads challenge, and I’ll be continuing to try and keep up with it.
I also began edits on A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale, and I’m working on a new cosplay!
What else does March have in store? One thing: an Easter short featuring some of the characters from the Something in the Water series. Keep an eye out for that later this month.
You can also watch this space for more about A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale. I’m very excited to begin sharing this story with you!
I’m looking for beta readers for this manuscript right now, so if you’re interested, send me a message!
A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale will arrive in May 2018.
Going Under will also be going on sale periodical over the next three months, beginning this month. If you haven’t had a chance to pick it up and read it yet, keep an eye out for the sale!
Head’s Up Play: New Slapshot!
An announcement some of you have been waiting for: new Slapshot! chapters will be arriving later this month as well. I’ve been reposting the story since the site redesign last summer. One reason was to get everything reformatted properly (it’s getting be quite long!). Another reason was because I haven’t had the time to work on it. I’m now back to working on it though, which means things should hopefully start rolling out and along.
I don’t want to spoil too much, but April is also going to be a big (and busy) month! Look for new (free) eBooks. New Slapshot! will continue for a while, and obviously, I’ll be getting ready for the launch of A Stranger Sort of Fairy Tale in May.
March will likely turn into a busy month as well, but there are so many things happening here right now. I’m excited to share some great new stuff with you in the coming months.
